Titanic Informational
Prezi
By Zachary Dupa
The Titanic survivors were all rescued by the Carpathia at 8:15 on the day of the tragedy. Only a fraction survived out of the 2229
men and women. But we had become more aware of things since the tragedy, like being prepared for such trips. The Titanic's story is a lesson well learned.

designed by Péter Puklus for Prezi
ICEBERG, DEAD AHEAD!
There were 37 seconds between the first iceberg sighting and the impact. The Titanic struck the iceberg at 11:40 P.M., allowing thousands of tons
of water to enter five of the Titanic's watertight compartments. The ship was expected to sink within two hours.
After Impact
The people on board were ordered to the lifeboats with a strict rule.
"Women and Children First!"
The captain sent out these messages to tell ships they are in danger.
-.-. --.- -.. (C.Q.D.)
... --- ...(S.O.S.)
The Californian, the nearest ship, did not respond to the Titanic's distress call.
Therefore, they were a possible
cause to the deaths of the
Titanic disaster.
Crisis at Sea
The Titanic had taken in 7,450 tons of water by Midnight. The bow soon began to sink. In a matter of hours, the Titanic will have completely sank.
The tragedy's
end.
It is an hour after the impact and the titanic is flooded with 25,000 tons of water. The first lifeboats have been sent down to escape the ship. At 2:00, the Titanic is filled with 39,000 tons of sea water. No lifeboats are left in sight as the stern points high into the sky. The Titanic was lost beneath the sea at 2:20.
Over 1,500 people died on this
tragic day.
The Titanic was built in 3 years in Belfast, U.K. by Harland and Wolffe. More than 3,000 workers helped
design it.
