Mini Lesson-Annotating Text in Science.
Procedure
1. Identify the PFR (Purpose For Reading) &
Underline it.
2. Think of the article as an investigation to answer a specific question.
3. Draw a Triangle for any key science term you may have learned in class.
4. Draw two

if you have any confusion with a word or concept.
5. Draw a
"F"
if you think its an important fact you may need to remember.

V: Level 0, quiet for concentration.
P: Read & Annotate the following article as discussed.

Procedure
1. Each article use a triangle, question mark, and F to help investigate the answer to the following question.
"Write a short paragraph that explains the central idea of the article. Use at least two details from the article to support your response."
2. We will not be answering the question today, just read and annotate he article "The Birth of Modern Science".


Debrief
On the whiteboard compile a list of triangles, ??s, and F's.
