solar tracker
For making this solar tracker which can rotate in both axis we use four LDR in four side of the panel.

We use two gear motor to rotate the panel in both axis.

We use two L293D IC to operate the circuit.

Because of Microcontroller output voltage is not enough to rotate those motor, we use driver IC L293D for better rotating speed of a motor.

For programming, PIC microcontroller PIC16F690 used Which control the sensor to operate those two motor.

Sun is the ultimate source of power. .

Solar energy could supply all the present and future energy needs of the world on a continuing basis.

The aim of our projects is to utilize the maximum solar energy through solar panel.

Construct a prototype solar cell movement system with two axis movement..

Design an electronic circuit...

EQIPUMENTS...
L293D IC
It is a dual H-Bridge motor driver integrated circuit (IC).
Act as current amplifiers at low-current control signal .
Provides a higher-current signal.

Crystal Oscillator
Provides an output wave format of a specific frequency.
Its a timing device that consists of a crystal and an oscillator circuit.
A crystal is placed into an amplifier circuit a small amount of energy is fed back to the crystal.

Future addition with our project
Our main basic theme of our project is to get the maximum output from the solar tracker.

In future we will work on the output to ac to dc mode.

We will modify the sensor and the total architecture of the project on bigger solar panel.

We are working on the sensor to sense the light correctly.

We will also work the most maximum output and stability of the architecture.

In future we will work on photovoltaic plate to improve the panel to get more output

An automated (artificially intelligent) microcontroller IC based sun tracking solar system has finally made successfully. The achievements and new modifications of this project are:
 The total system is made automatic, intelligent and controlled to its operation.
 LDR detect sun position and create signal and passes it to the central operating unit for
taking action.
 The circuit can store maximum charge through capturing sun light.
 The circuit is very light and thin which assures it as a portable device.
 The total system is integrated in a PCB board and very chip NAND IC is used which makes customer demanding rather than any other product of the market.

1. The most energy is absorbed when a surface’s face is perpendicular to the sun.

2. fixed panel are only perpendicular to the sun once a day.

3. Improved performance from each panel means fewer panels are needed.

4. To proper utilization of the sun light all over the day.

5. More solar power with short amount of investment.

6. Its automatic , so no need to man power.

7. Installation process is very easy

We used it to detect sun light.
It is a component whose resistance changes when the amount of light falls upon it.
It’s also known as photo conductive cells.
GEAR MOTOR
It allows motors to drive with a great force on an object with low speed.
It consists of a reduction gear train and an electric motor.

Disadvantage

1. Higher mechanical complexity.

2. Lower lifespan and lower reliability.

3. Unreliable performance in cloudy or overcast weather.

4. Sensitive to lightning.
