S-look for SYMBOLS in the text
I- look for IMAGERY in the text
F-look for FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE in the text
T- identify TONE and THEME in the text
Using the Graphic Organizer
The way this graphic organizer is designed, you are guided through writing each part of the essay. If you complete the graphic organizer correctly, you will basically already have your essay written. You will just need to type it.

You do not *have* to use the organizer. I will not collect it separately. But, if you choose not to use it, you are choosing not to use a tool that is designed to result in success based on the grading rubric.
