Romelo Banks 80's and 90's Graphic Design In, 1983 Apple had released the Apple Lisa. It was the first personal computer to use a GUI (Graphical User Interface). Apple lisa In the third quarter of the superbowl, in 1984, Apple released a commercial stating that on January 24th Apple would release Macintosh. Apple 1984 Commercial GUI is an interface that allows users to interact with electronic devices using images. This is opposite to the first operating system called MS-DOS that used a command-line interface. Neville Brody is a London designer who studied design in Britain. He spent three years studying at the London College of Printing where his work, which was quite experimental in nature, was met with quite unfavorable criticism because the school generally taught traditional printing methods. Neville Brody Neville Brody gains a fair amount of attention as an art director for The Face Magazine, where he worked from 1980 to 1993. This magazine was very popular in the 1980s, it was called "fashion bible" and set many of the trends of design which enjoyed success during the same time period. The Face magazine Flash is a fictional character that was played by Wally west. This copy dropped in 1990s. During the 80s and 90s comics were very popular and flash was one of those popular ones.
