Chasing Lincoln's Killer-Chapter 2
Transcript of Chasing Lincoln's Killer-Chapter 2
By: Sam Lake
Why I chose this Chapter
In this chapter Booth carries out his plan to shoot the president. He carefully makes his way to the President's Box and shoots him in the back of the head.
The Setting's in this chapter are in front of Ford's Theater and in Ford's Theater.
Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln
Major Rathbone and Clara Harris
John Wilkes Booth
I chose this chapter since it was the most interesting one to me because I wanted to know how John Wilkes Booth killed Abraham Lincoln.
If I could change the ending of this chapter I would make it so that Booth makes it out of the theater. I would extend it because it seems like a weird place to end the chapter.
Dialogue- Words spoken at a play by the actors.
Vestibule- a passage or a hall between the outer door and interior of a house.
Corny- old-fashioned trite or lacking in subtlety.
Depiction- Representation in image form. As in a painting or illustration.
Farfetched- Not believable.
Avenged- To take vengance or exact satisfaction for.
If I could change the title I would change it to "The Assassination". I pick this because in this chapter Lincoln is assassinated.
It is a picture of Booth shooting the president.
It is from a newspaper.
A few months after the assassination.
To show what happened when Booth shot Lincoln.
To show what happened at the theatre.
People who want to know about the assassination.
Yes pictures were used to show how Booth shot him.
