Proof of Concepts showcasing the integrated system covers only the couple of modules of the SAP system. Such type of integration can be extended for the various modules of SAP system. Need of integration has to be analysed for several transactions of various modules of SAP system.
By integrating, we can take the considerable portion on the Sharepoint side & leverage the business capabilities of SAP system using the GUI developed in SharePoint. Thus, whole subset of business system can be built using the SAP integration with SharePoint
Integrated System having user interface & various business workflows on SharePoint side and leveraging the business capabilities of the SAP system gives better UI experience to the user and simplifies the business processes in an organization.
SharePoint screens in the front end provides easy, interactive & intuitive user interface.
Integrated System provides the self-serviceability to the employees of an organization.
Self-serviceability includes creating leave application, generating purchase requisitions, change of address details, reimbursement application, etc.
Various business processes follows the workflows built in SharePoint which restricts the unnecessary data records from entering the SAP system, keeping the system clean in terms of unnecessary data.
Such integrated system allows an organization to leverage the SAP system in an optimum way.
Also an organization can save on the number of licenses for the users of the SAP system by having the SharePoint on the front-end part. Bibliography Web Resources

SAP as backend for posting data in different SAP modules leveraging both unique technologies to make business and day to day processes for user smooth, intuitive and effortless. Purpose SAP is the world’s most popular ERP system, providing the backbone that companies rely on for smooth day-to-day operations.
Microsoft SharePoint is the standard for enterprise collaboration, information management, and reporting.
While both systems have been individually woven into the fabric of today’s business culture, we can reap the benefits that come from integrating these two systems into one powerful mission-critical environment and leverage advantages of both the technologies to make processes simpler requiring minimum effort. Need for integration SAP & SharePoint are two very robust & widely used technologies.
SAP is world's most used ERP but the only drawback is not very user-friendly or intuitive user interface.
To overcome this we integrate SAP & SharePoint, using SAP as back-end while SharePoint as front-end.
To optimize the no. of SAP named user licenses reducing the total licensing cost. Integration Approaches Using Web Service.
