Child Obesity What is Obesity ? Why is Child obesity a popular topic today? About 13 percent of children are obese in the Us. Double the percentage two years ago.
Children are suffering from dieases such as diabetes, stroke, HBP.
Increase the number of deaths and diseases.
Asthma - Most common

Having more fat then you physically need. Reasons ? Unhealthy diet
Indoor activities
supermarkets have more unhealthy food advertised then healthy foods.
Healthy foods costs more.
Genetics --- > rarely!
Disorder known as Prader willi Syndrome
Schools and outside foods are rich and have double fat then regular home food. effectiveness Healthy problems such as high chloestrol, and high blood pressure.
Diabetes is considered an adulthood disease but kids over weight more likely to get it
Mental effects :
Social discrimination
Low self-esteem
100 children 5 to 18 have life issues and are depressed! Risk death at early age More likely to die at the age of 55-
Illness or self-injury
559 die caused by cardiovascular disease infections and diabetes.
