Sense and Sensibility By Jane Austen Brief Overview The story of Elinor and Marianne Dashwood after the death of their father and their move from Sussex to Devonshire. Elinor is the reserved, practical and thoughtful sister and resembles the "sense" in "Sense and Sensibilty". Marianne is the sister who shows more sponataniety , dramaticism, and romaticism resembling the "sensibility" in the novels title. The novel portrays how each of the girls experience and treat love and heartbreak.
