Quentin (a.k.a Q)
Margo Roth Spiegelmen
The Story :3
This is the story of Quentin Jacobsen and his journey to find his lifelong crush, Margo Roth Spiegelmen. It all starts when Margo shows up at his window in the middle of the night and asks him to help her complete 11 tasks of revenge. He obviously agrees and they complete these tasks. One including breaking into Sea World. The next day Quentin goes to school hoping that Margo won't go back to being his one popular friend who doesn't really notice him, but she isn't there. And when he gets home she isn't home. He soon starts to realize that she has left town and wants him to find her. She left clues for him to follow, but all of these clues start but don't lead him to the finish.

Other Books by John Green. :)
Quentin Jacobsen is a senior at Jefferson High in Orlando, FL. He is called 'Q' by his friends. Quentin is a very interesting guy. He is a total band geek and a cool one at that. His two best friends are Ben and Radar who keep him in line when times get hard.
Margo Roth Spiegelmen
Margo Roth Spiegelmen is a part of the popular crowd at Jefferson High, but isn't your average popular girl. She is a mysterious adventurer. A ninja as she would put it. She leads an average life but isn't happy with it and wants to leave it all behind.
Ben Starling is also a senior at Jefferson high and is one of Quentin's best friends. In this book his main goal for himself is to find a prom date and hopefully get a girlfriend, which he does. He is also a nerdy band geek, but cool one.
Radar is a senior at Jefferson High and again one of Quentin's best friends. Radar is a complete computer/technology geek. In fact he even spends his free time updateing and correcting an online encyclopedia called Omnictionary. He is also a band person as well as that. Radar's parents also own the largest Black Santa collection.
Themes in this book.
This book had 2 major themes. One being that Just because you know someone don't just assume that you know them because you don't. The second one being that You
always get what you
want and w
hat you imagine
won't always come
The main Literary device used in this book is the metaphor. The main metaphor used in this book is strings. How when people get depressed or sad that all of their strings holding them up just break. That is how Margo explains the death of Robert Joyner to Quentin after they find him in the park dead. Quentin uses this to explain how Margo really is deep down.
I would recommend this book to mostly Teenagers and some younger Adults. It is a very funny and inspirational book, but I wouldn't say it is for everyone.
The intended audience for this book would be teens and again younger adults for some content that most younger kids probably wouldn't understand. Also there is some inappropriate language.
Lacey is another popular girl at Jefferson high and also Margo's best friend. She is very much a preppy popular girl, almost nothing like Margo. She may come off as very stuck up and mean, but deep down she is actually really nice and caring.
