Evolution of the Hair Brush
Transcript of Evolution of the Hair Brush
When was the hair brush invented?
The hair brush has dated back for thousands of years, and is hard for archeologists to follow the history from when it was invented it.
Effects on society and the environment
The effects on society because of the hairbrush is that people who have hair, need to keep it in tip-top shape, especially celebrities and people that go to special events to make their hair look good which in turn makes them look good. Environmentally, the hairbrush is only bad for it unless it's not disposed of correctly and can be harmful to it, otherwise it has nothing to do with the environment.

A hairbrush is a stick brush with rigid or soft bristles used in hair care for smoothing, styling, and untangling human hair, or for grooming an animal's fur.
What is a hair brush?
The hair brush has improved over the centuries by the changes in handles, bristles, and the shape of the hair brush, and the improvements were made by an African-American women named Lyda Newman, who made the innovation of the hair brush with synthetic bristles. She also made the it to provide a new and improved hair brush which is simple and durable in construction, very effective when in use, and arranged to permit of conveniently cleaning the brush whenever desired.
What improvements have been made to the hairbrush over the years?
The hairbrush has never been shown to have a special civilization or spontaneous moment where the hair brush has had an actual beginning, but it has been around for centuries to prove that the people had cared for their hair long ago, and showed that a hair brush was important. Now a days it's still a huge asset to world culture and their clothing styles.
Who invented the hair brush
Since ancient times when the Romans were around, they were styling, curling, and braiding their hair which suggests that they were using brushes at the time. But this still doesn't unsure that they originally invented it.
What materials were originally used to make the hair brush?
The materials that were used back then were natural materials such as wood, bronze, and copper to make the handles, and the bristles were made out of bones, shells, porcupine quills, flint, and animal hair such as boar bristles to even out the natural oils of the hair.
How was the hair brush originally made
No one knows still how the hair brush was originally made but one theory is that the paint brush used for millions of years was slowly transformed into a hair brush. Somehow when someone decided to drill holes in a handle and somehow add bristles that stayed, is unclear how it happened.
Why were these improvements made?
These changes were made because the more advance hairstyles have become, so had the hairbrushes needed to be to help style out the hair and brush the it to the needed standards.
Who uses the hairbrush
Almost everybody who has hair or more than enough of it that can be brushed, has a hairbrush to cleanse and straighten out their hair.
Major changes that have occurred in the design of hairbrush
Major changes that have occurred in the hairbrush is not only the design by how hairbrushes are not only for the wealthy anymore and are much more cheaper nowadays. The design has changed by now there are plastic handles for light weight grip, and Nylon bristles, both with and without tiny balls on the end for less tug and pull on hair. Today there are an enormous variety of hair brush types available. There are flat brushes, round, half round, and vented to name just a few as well as brushes made for specific hair types, such as straight, wavy or curly. Hairbrushes can also be found in all shapes, sizes, and colors, all at an affordable price.
