Introduction
Did you know a 20- ounce bottle of soda contains the equivalent of approximately 16 teaspoons of sugar? bet you didn't. Today I'm going to be talking about the pros and cons of probably most of your favourite beverage.. soda.
Facts
First I'm going to start off with some facts that you probably never knew about soda.Fact number one drinking one or two sugary drinks per day increases your risk for type two diabetes by 25%.Fact number two it would take the average adult over one hour of walking to burn off the 240 calories in a 20-ounce coca cola.Fact number three drinking soda can increase your risk of having kidney stones (A hard mass formed in the kidneys).My last fact is diet sodas contain the artificial sweetener aspartame which has been shown to cause seizures,migraines,anxiety,and other disorders.
Pros Of Drinking Soda
Now I'm going to talk about the pros of soda.One pro about soda is that it usually has caffeine in it, caffeine makes you more alert and energized,especially when you're tired.My second pro of soda is that soda will make you feel full and therefore decreases your overall food consumption.My third pro about soda is that soda hydrates you no matter how bad soda is, it will still be able to hydrate you on hot summer day.My last pro of soda is that you may be saying but I thought caffeine was bad for you? well your right!, but caffeine is safe as long as you don't have too much. A 12 oz can of coke contains 34mg of caffeine,which is far less then say a cup of coffee.
Cons Of Drinking Soda
Now I'm going to be talking about cons of soda's.My first con of soda is, just two soda's a week can double your risk for pancreatic cancer,Pop can also increase insulin levels which can lead to diabetes.My last con is soda can cause many health problems such as strokes,heart diseases, and many other health problems.

Conclusion
In conclusion to this presentation soda is very harmful to your health and even though you can't feel the effects now you will in the near future. Although soda does have benefits and is not always bad for you!
