Due to a recent surge in the number and popularity
of critically acclaimed television series, many critics
have said that American television is currently
enjoying a golden age
One of the most successful genres in recent times are the police series. Those series show us how team detectives solve cases that seem impossible to solve.
Among the police more views series highlight:
During the 2013/14 television season in the US,
NBC finished as the chain number one in the demo, but for the first time in ten years, in the section of audience between 18 and 49 years, was CBS who won viewers total thanks again to have the most watched series between Networks.

Criminal Minds is one of the most popular series in recent years. I's a series that airs on CBS from 2005.
The series shows the work of the Behavioral Analysis Unit, an elite team of FBI that is dedicated to making criminal psychological profiling to predict their next move and facilitate their capture. The series differs from other police dramas, because it focuses on analyzing the psychopathological behavior (motivation, causes and possible disturbances) the criminal who commits crimes.

CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) is a police series aired on CBS This is not only one of the best cop shows today, but one of the most successful of all time. Since issuance on October 6, 2000 has made more than 291 chapters in 14 seasons. It is estimated that its global adiencia is more than 73.8 million viewers.
The series shows how a team of forensic scientists and criminologists are responsible for seeking the necessary steps
to solve murder cases testing.
The original formula of the series and its success prompted two sequels, CSI: Miami (2002) and CSI: New York (2004), around teams of forensic scientists in these cities.
CSI: Las Vegas "has a new season. CBS has renewed the crime fiction by a 14th season, despite the worrying hearings of the series during its last deliveries, however, the followers of this veteran production does not have to worry about.
The fourteenth season will feature the current distribution, in which the main actors are no longer William Petersen as Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows Marg Helgenberger coo, but Ted Danson as the DB Russell and Elisabeth Shue as Julie Finlay. Both have renewed their contract for two years, so the chain ensures continuity in the event that the 14th season have good data audience and make a 15th. Criminal Investigation: NCIS as it is also known, is a police series issued by CBS, based on a team of special agents of the Criminal Investigation Service of the Navy of the United States. NCIS has maintained its viewers, and chelates CBS has launched its 12th season.
The series first aired on September 23, 2003 and continues to this day, and has 212 episodes spread over 12 seasons. Note that this is one of the most watched series in the United States
