The Electromagnetic Spectrum By Jessica Mello Radio Waves Microwaves Infrared Waves Ultra Violet X-rays Visible Light Gamma Rays These waves are mainly used in radios, cell phones, and televisions

Wavelength- >10cm

Dangers- may cause cancer, and other diseases

Radio waves are created by transmitters, and given off by stars, sparks, and lightning

These waves can go through the atmosphere but they might bounce off of the ionosphere These waves are used in many things, for example remote controls for TVs and video recorders.

Wavelength- 0.01 - 7 x 10^5

Frequency- 3 x 10^12 - 4.3 x 10^14

Dangers-overheating

These waves are given off by anything that is warm

Yes. but some frequencies may be absorbed or scattered We use light to see. Lights could also be used in lasers. Lasers are used in Compact Disc & DVD players

Dangers- to much light can damage eyes

Dangers- It can cause cataracts, and can affect part of your brain.
