E.C. VS HUMAN PROGRESS
Human Progress
Human progress can be defined as many different things such as:
Technological Advancements
Can we progress fast enough to neglect E.C.? Unlikely.
What would need to be developed: Flood Prevention, Renewable Fuel, Greenhouse gas prevention/heat prevention, Alternate Agricultural methods.
All these technologies would have to be invented within 40 years.
Economic Growth
Growing an infinite economy on a planet with finite resources is not possible.
When will we prioritize?
Most Americans agree that environmental conservation should be prioritized over economic growth.
Industrial processes often require fossil fuels.
Commerce requires the transportation of product which in turn uses fossil fuels.
Renewable energies too expensive for 3rd world economies?
My opinion and Article
My Article did not have a specific author and was only listed as done by the "European Commission. It went into extreme detail both with European economic structure and climate change.
E.C. should definitely be prioritized over any kind of human growth, weather it is economic or technological. But a good balance is vital for our economy and our environment. Unfortunately I think people will only start caring or become proactive once the affect is seen on the economy.
Human Progress vs. Environmental Conservation
Is environmental conservation stopping human technological progress and economic growth, and if so is it worth it?
E.C.
Very Broad Topic
Economic Growth (Industrialization/Commercialization)
Technological Advancements
