What is Recycling?
Drink tap water instead of bottled water.
Use double-sided printing or consider
not printing at all when appropriate.
Repair. Don’t throw out.
Eat home-cooked meals.
Donate clothing to charity or trade with friends.

Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to power a TV for 3 hours OR the equivalent of a half gallon of gasoline.
Recycling one glass bottle can run a 100-watt light bulb for 4 hours or a compact fluorescent bulb for 20 hours.
Recycling one plastic bottle saves enough energy to power a 60-watt light bulb for 6 hours.
If Americans recycled one-tenth of their newspapers, we could save 25 million trees a year.
