Gilgamesh would go and pray in a ziggurat Gilgamesh was the king of Mesopotamia! He was believed to be 1 half of a god! Mesopotamia was in between two rivers, Tigris and Euphrates! Now in the fertile crescent where Mesopotamia used to be there are now countries here are some of them, Iran and Syria! Mesopotamia in greek language means, The land between rivers Another word for Ziggurat is, Temple At the top level of a ziggurat there are religious ceremonies. Mesopotamian homes were made of, sun dried brick, mud and stone. Mesopotamian civilization began in 3000 BCE and that was, 5012 years ago! Some inventions that mesopotamian people made were, Money, Irrigation, wheel, writing and sailboards!
