What Are Web Applications?
Allow you to perform tasks or create objects without software
Known as “Web 2.0”
Often include social interaction
Accessible from anywhere.
Usually FREE!
Applications go up and down
Web 2.0 may allow students to interact with other people online
Students’ privacy should be considered
Those with computers at home may spend more time on projects than those without computers.
The competencies described in the framework are the attitudes, skills, and knowledge that contribute to students becoming engaged thinkers and ethical citizens with an entrepreneurial spirit.

The value of Web 2.0 applications is related to how we as teachers use them.
We need to design projects and assignments that require higher order thinking.
For example: Prezi can be more than pictures!
