Cultural Background Currently, there are approximately 30,000 Japanese American residents in Little Tokyo.

The Issei were the primary founders of the Little Tokyo ethnic enclave which we know today. Historical District of Little Tokyo Replica of a fire lookout tower in old

Today, the Little Tokyo community in Los Angeles is considered to be one of the most distinctive in culture and environment.
