Other names
Two other names for cardiomyopathy are the ischemic and nonischemic cardiomyopathy.

Ischemic cardiomyopathy is muscle damage that results from coronary arterie disease.

Nonischemic cardiomyopathy are three possible types of cardiomyopathy, there is dilated, hypertrophic, and restrictive.
Description
This is a disease of the muscle of the heart.

The heart loses the ability to pump blood.

This could cause to irregular heart beats and arrthymias.

The exact cause of damage the muscle of the heart is never found.
Symptoms It Has
Can be present for several years without causing significant symptoms.

Symptoms include fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, swelling of legs and feet, congestion, and other parts of the body.
What Causes It?
Alcohol has a direct suppressant effect on the heart.

Infections may lead to heart inflammation.

Some drugs for medical use may also damage the heart.

May occur as a complication of pregnancy and childbirth.
What Treatments Can Cure It?
One way of treating this conditions by using drugs.

You can use Vasodilators, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors ( ACE )

Digitalis, which helps improve pumping action and helps regulate heartbeats.

One last way is by using calcium blockers or beta blocker, this helps regulate and to alter the work of the heart muscle.
Who Does It Affect?
This condition may effect older or middle aged people

Certain types of this disease may affect younger people.

This condition tends to be progressive and worsens overtime
