Life of Jesus according to Mark
Mark's Gospel is one of three synoptic gospels
John Mark was the original author
of the Gospel.
It was estimated to be written in Rome
sometime between AD 50-70
The Preaching of John the Baptist
John was performing baptisms in the Jordan river
Mark 1:4-8
At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan river.
Mark 1:9
Jesus then went out into the desert for 40 days and 40 nights, being tempted by Satan
Mark 1:12-13
On Jesus' return from the desert, he went to Galilee to proclaim the good news of God

Jesus was teaching parables next to the sea when he mentioned
Those who follow God are the ones who were dropped onto good ground

The relevance of Mark's gospel to modern life is that if you respect, follow and praise god. If you preach his teachings and pray, when you die you will ascend into heaven
