The abuse can occur in a child's home

-meet and respond to basic needs
-protect from danger
-fails to meet other

ignoring
corrupting
terrorizing
verbally assaulting
isolating
rejecting
Most common type of abuse is neglect.
Symptoms
Emotional

has attempted suicide
extremes in behavior
delayed in emotional or physical development
lack of attachment to parent

abuses alcohol and drugs
steals/begs for money or food
absent from school
lack of clothing or medical care

unexplained injuries
seems scared of adults
has fading injuries after an absence from school
