Transcript of How a Bill becomes a law!

Double click anywhere & add an idea How A Bill Becomes A Law! Step 1 The bill begins with an idea. And then it goes on paper written by anyone that want to make the idea a law. Step 2 once the bill is presented to the house or senate and then its referred to a committe. Step 3 after the bill is out of committe, it is sent to the house or the senate for a vote. Step 4 if they they decide to make a change either the house or senate it would be sent to the house for another vote again. After the conference committee agrees on a final draft of the bill, it is sent to the House of Representatives and the Senate for a final vote. Step 5 Step 6 The final step in the law-making process is to provide notice to the public so that people are aware of what the new law requires Step 7 After a bill becomes a law, it is first published as an unbound pamphlet called a "slip law". Step 8 if everything is all good it becomes a law.
