By: Lily Jourdan Is a video/movie made in the U.S. that makes fun the Prophet Muhammad. This causes many muslims upset and angry because they feel that their religion and what they believe in is being made fun of causing riots and protesting. Many countries now are anti-U.S. My Opinion Dilanain, Ken. "Attack on Consulate in Libya Was Act of Terrorism, U.S. Says." Los Angeles Times. Los Angeles Times, 28 Sept. 2012. Works Cited All the protesting and riots from the film is an important event because:
It affects many people in the world. The attack in Libya has been brought up between the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates.
There is still violence happening and anger towards the U.S. and all the muslims in the world don't like the U.S. so they want justice.
It has affected many countries in the world which makes people become involved in the protests and it's on the news for people to become aware of what is happening in the world. What Makes this Event Important? Attack in Libya What is happening in Libya. There are many attacks happening in Libya and many riots and protesting have happened from the mini film on YouTube.
The U.S Embassy in Benghazi was attacked and killed four Americans including U.S Ambassador Chris Stevens on September 11.
Investigators had recently found that the attack on the U.S Embassy was a planned attack and the building was on fire causing much smoke through the building. Investigators say that Steven was pulled out of the building and couldn't breath from all the smoke and had bad burns from fire. He also had gun shot wounds and died. Innocents of Muslims Who is Affected? How it's affecting a large population? Muslims:
Libya, Egypt, Syria, Philippines, Pakistan, Mogadishu, Somalia, Athens Greece.
All these countries are anti-U.S. because they know the film was made in the U.S. therefore they don't like us. From the film this affects many countries in the middle east and the U.S. Who: The many Muslims, Americans; The U.S. Ambassador
What: There was an attack in Libya on the U.S. Embassy. The attack killed four Americans including the U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens. The men who bombed the Embassy killed security men also.
Where: Libya. Also Affecting countries like Syria, Iran, America..
When: The terrorist attack was on September 11, 2012
Why: There was a short film made in the U.S. called "Innocents of Muslims." The film made fun of the Muslims and their religion causing protesting and riots in the Muslim world.
How: The men just came in the Embassy with guns and just went on a huge rage and killed people. The rocket launched and hit the building and the rioters threw bombs causing the building to go on fire. they also had guns and shot all the Americans in the Embassy building. Summary ~My opinion on the Libya attack from the video on YouTube and many muslims were angry toward the U.S. that the people were mad that their religion was made fun of by Americans and that they wanted the U.S. to get payback. It happened on September 11, 2012 and four Americans died. Both Libya and the U.S. have done really bad things. I also think that the U.S. should censor the film "Innocents of Muslims" on the YouTube. The short film should be censored that way it wont be their on the web anymore, the muslims wont be mad that it is still on the internet. The video is such bad quality and should not have been taken way out of proportion and to the point that there is protesting and Americans getting killed.
