Plant Cells vs Animal Cells
Differences
Differences
Differences
Animal Cells are quite different from plant cells. Animal cells have more
additions to it than plants.
Such as:
Animal Cells have Lysosomes like Plant Cells have Vacuoles. The Lysosomes are the waste disposal system of the Animal cells. Lysosomes eliminate the threatening and harmful waste located inside the cell.
Differences
Animal Cells contain centrioles. Centrioles seperate Chromosomes during cell mitosis. Centriole seperate and multiply chromosomes or also known as the DNA.
Differences
Animal cells have Cilia which gather nutrients to the cell. Cilia are small hairs on the outside of the cell that capture nutrients and absorb them to cell itself. These hairs can also move the cell and its enviorment.
Differences
Plant Cells have their similarities and differences. The similarities that
plant cells have with animal
cells are:
Plant Cells
Nucleus
Cytoplasm
Mitochondria
Cell Membrane
Vacuole
Plant cells, unlike animal cells have a cell wall. This
wall is made mainly out
of cellulose.
Animal Cells
Cilia
Centrioles
Lysosomes
Plant cells make their own food, apart from Animal Cells who do not
need to make their own food.
Chloroplast use
sunlight to make
their own food.
Vacuoles
Chloroplast
Cell Wall
Plant Cells and Animal Cells both have
Vacuoles. The diffrence is that Plant cells have
one large vacuole, while Animal cells have many
small Vacuoles.
The vacuole helps
exterminate unwanted
waste located in the cell
that could be harmful to
the cell.
Similarites, again,
are:
Nucleus
Cytoplasm
Mitochondria
Vacuole
Cell Membrane
Lysosomes
Centrioles
Cilia
