CADENAS DE ÁCIDOS NUCLEICOS Las cadenas presentan dos extremos Extremo 5`, donde hay un grupo fosfato unido al carbono 5`del primer nucleótido. Extremo 3`, donde hay un radical hidroxilo unido al carbono 3` del último nucleótido. Se sintetizan mediante enzimas capaces de añadir nucleótidos al extremo 3`. Se forma un enlace fosfodiéster entre el radical hidroxilo y el radical fosfato.
