was established in 1929 - As the blue field of our nation's flag and the golden fields of ripened corn unify our country.
The corduroy jacket:
The blue corduroy jacket was adopted as part as the official dress in 1933.
FFA official dress standards:
As the women started joining the FFA the official dress standards were changed and officially set in 1973.
first official dress:
The first official dress uniform was adopted in 1930.
Official dress now:
Skirt is to be at least knee length, evenly across the bottom, with a slit no longer than 2 inches above the knee. Black slacks may be appropriate for traveling and outdoor activities.
White collared blouse and official FFA blue scarf.
Black dress shoes with a closed heel and toe (No boots, sandals, open-toed shoes, or tennis shoes.)

The uniform then required the guys to wear a dark blue shirt, blue or white pants, blue cap and yellow tie. At this time girls were not allowed to join the FFA.

The jacket is to be worn only by members.
A member should act professionally when wearing the FFA jacket.
The jacket should only be worn to places that are appropriate for members to visit.
The jacket should be kept clean and neat.

How to wear awards:
Chapter degree, officer and award medals should be worn beneath the name on the right side of the jacket.
State FFA Degree or American Degree keys should be worn above the name on the right side of the jacket or attached to a standard key chain.
No more than three medals should be worn on the jacket. The three medals should represent highest degree/office held and the highest award earned.
