With these ideas it helps people get organized and share images they dream of having with other pinners. In Pottstown, Pennsylvania, the local newspaper, The Mercury, is using Pinterest boards to post mugshots of wanted criminals to inform readers and help police make arrests. When you pin a picture on Pinterest, you can include information on where you can get it, the brand, and how much it costs. Through this, many stores like Nordstroms and Etsy have received free advertising, after people have seen their products on the store website and decided to "Pin It". The average user spends about 98 minutes on Pinterest per month.*
