Snapchat.
Snap chat is an application on many mobile phones and tablets. With this application you can take pictures and send them and you can put a time limit on them. The time limit is from 1 - 10 seconds
Many people think that they can send a picture and after their time limit it will disappear forever. But actually all of the picture are housed on the Snapchat servers. Which are basically giant warehouses filled with computers taking in data of your pictures you send to your peers.

The pictures never go away. People misuse it.
Some people use the app to send naked or revealing pictures. Thinking that it is going to disapear within the next 10 minutes.
Introducing Snapchat Stories

Now you can share stories with your friends including several photos or a long videos for more than 10 seconds to up to 30 seconds.

This could become a problem in the next year or so because the longer times allow longer images and exposure.
They state in their privacy policy that they collect information from their users including your age, email, phone number, pictures of you and your friends, your passwords, username, and any information you give to them.
