The Ninety Nine names of Allah

Importance of Knowing
Allah's Names
Chapter 1
The meaning of TAWHEED!
In this chapter we will be learning about Tawheed...
Tawheed is an arabic word meaning worshipping and believing in one god.
The english word for Tawheed is monotheism.
Chapter 1
Kufr and Shirk
Some people think that there is no God. They think the universe happened without a creater. Kufr, which is also known as disbelief. Other people think that there are many gods. This is called Shirk, which is also known as polytheism. This all the opposite of Tawheed. Shirk is an act of believing or worshiping false gods.
All of these beliefs are rejected in Islam . In fact disbelieving in god or to believe in another creater or even creaters is the worst sin.
Allah says:
"Allah does not forgive associating partners with him, but he may with anything else"

Calling on Allah by His Great Names
Learning and saying Allah's names is a form of thikr( remembering Allah). When we make du'aa', we should call Allah by His names. If you want Allah to forgive you and be merciful with you, call him by His names, Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem, Al-Ghaffar, Al-Ghafoor. If you want Allah to give you something in this life or in the next life, call him by his names Al-Kareem, Al-Wahhab, Al-Mughni. It is simple to call Allah, and to have him listen to you.
His Names are His Attributes
The names of Allah describe the attributes of Allah. You will know Allah better when you study His names and learn their deep meanings. Some of the words used to describe the attributes of Allah are also used to describe human characteristics. However, the qualities of Allah's attributes are a lot higher than those of humans.

This Tawheed is also called Tawheed-ul-Ruboobiyyah, which means belief in one lord.

Chapter 4: Away From Tawheed
Introduction
In Chapter 1, we learned about Tawheed and how Islam stresses the importance of Allah. In this Chapter, we are going to learn about
Shirk
.
Shirk
means believing in other Gods along with Allah and worshipping them as well.
Shirk Explained
Shirk is the opposite of Tawheed. Tawheed means to worship the One and Only God so Shirk means to worship something other than Allah. A person who falls into Shirk is called a Mushrik.

Human beings were created to worship Allah, their only true creator. He created jinn and mankind only for His worship.

By commiting shirk, a person is going against the statement of Tawheed.
