Nevada Educator Performance Framework
Senate Bill 407
Governor & Legislature set high expectations for Nevada’s education system to grow and sustain a healthy citizenry

Amended NRS Chapter 391 -- AB222 (2011) & SB407 (2013)

Requires statewide educator performance evaluation and support models for teachers and school administrators (NEPF)

State Board of Education required to adopt regulations to implement educator performance framework created by TLC

Implementation starts 2013 (validation and professional development)

The Nevada Educator Performance Framework Goals
Goal 1: Foster student learning and growth.

Goal 2: Improve educators’ effective instructional practices.

Goal 3: Inform human capital decisions based on a professional growth system.

Goal 4: Engage stakeholders in the continuous improvement and monitoring of a professional growth system.
