Long Vowel Sounds
Remember, the vowels in English are a, e, i, o, and u.
Long vowels sound like their letter names.
A long a is pronounced "a."
The long e is pronounced "e."
The long i is pronounced "i."
The long o is pronounced "o."
The long U is pronounced "u."
Activity
Now, do the worksheet labeled "Long Vowel Sounds." Remember to SAY each word as you write it and to LISTEN to the difference between the short vowel sounds and the long vowel sounds.
