Why should we practice inter-religious dialogue?

During a lecture on Comparative Theology and inter-religious dialogue the professor spoke about three reasons to engage in dialogue with other faith traditions. I associated the three reasons with the recycling logo and this was the result.

Other religions
For the sake of the other
We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves.
How can we love our neighbors if we don't know them and understand them?
Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor
The second commandment requires that we not only speak truthfully about our neighbors but that we should also make sure others speak truthfully about them.
When we engage in dialogue with those from other faith traditions we are more capable of speaking truthfully about them.
To Honor and Learn about God
God is the creator of all
Should we not then love all of creation?
If everything in creation is from God
We can learn something of God from everything in creation
Strengthen our own faith
Seeing practices from another tradition
Can make you see your own practices in a new light
Your faith can become deeper and richer when seen from someone else's point of view.

Once we have gained and understanding of
We can use this knowledge...
With a deeper understanding of
We can...
And gain a deeper understanding of them
