This is my journey.
It starts at a special education school in Japan... My first volunteer experience
At first, I had difficulties forming bonds with high school students there because I was shy and lacked confidence in my Japanese.
My visit to South Korea in that summer and volunteering at another special education school with elementary students enriched my volunteer experience when I went back to Japan to continue.
I became more approachable to students while enjoying interacting and assisting with students with special needs.
This led me to study psychology at UBC.
To explore Sciences behind people with exceptionalities
Then, I realized...
every child is special and has unique learning needs.
That is a reason why
I entered a teaching career.
