Transcript of Who is to blame for the sinking of the Titanic?

Our conclusion
designed by Péter Puklus for Prezi
Thomas Andrews (Ship Designer)
Harland and Wolff

The White Star Line Company (Bruce Ismay)
The White Star Line Company was the director behind The Titanic, they were instructing the crew the wrong things to do. They were instructed to go fast even though they received ice warnings from fellow ships. Bruce Ismay (the chairman of TWSLC) was the man instructing the ship to do this while aboard himself.
Captain Smith
Captain smith ignored the
iceberg warnings and never slowed down as he wanted to get to New York on time for his last voyage. If he slowed down a bit then the ship might have avoided the iceberg.
SS Californian
Who is to blame for the Titanic Sinking?
The Suspects
Thomas Andrews was the chief naval
architect of Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast; the builders of The RMS Titanic. He was accused of the sinking due to the
fact he reduced the size of the
watertight compartments to
help it float.

The reason people believe that the harland and wolff were to blame was because he rivets in the ship were made out of weak iron and not strong steel. The iceberg hit where the weak iron rivets were built in. Which caused the titanic to sink
Some of people think that their are some other weird reasons that the titanic sank. One theory is that gingers caused bad omen and made the ship sink. Another theory is that an alien ship dragged it down the Atlantic sea. One of the strangest theories was that the moon dragged the iceberg to the course of the titanic.
The weird theories
Our conclusion is that Thomas Andrews was the main reason that the titanic sunk. We think this because he reduced the height of the sixteen water tight compartments that would've kept the shit afloat for longer to make more room for the first class passengers. He also branded the ship unsinkable.
The Californian was 5 miles away from the titanic at the time. The captain of the ship went to sleep but the crew members were still on duty. As they saw the flares shot by the titanic the members of the crew thought that the people on board of the titanic were having a party and never bothered to check what happened.
