Mime Why did mime happen? How do you become a successful mime artist? Who was Charlie Chaplin? Mime video by Charlie Chaplin How is mime different from other acting styles? THANK YOU FOR WATCHING OUR PRESENTATION A mime is act that doesn't use words. In a mime there are usually no props but some mime artists such as Charlie Chaplin still uses some. Mime acts should always stay silent. Mime is one of first ways of communication. It was used to communicate before language was invented. Mime happened thanks to a boy named Jean Gaspard Dastitie Debauravex. He was playing in his garden, then decided to do mime act. Mime is very different to other acting styles it is silent and you can’t use props. Sometimes Miming has music with it but not with words just instruments. In miming it’s not like a superman movie it’s when you use your hands to make actions. Some miming artists (like Charlie Chaplin) do use props but most don’t. Charlie Chaplin was a mummer
(Person who mimes). He was born on
the 16 of April 1889 in London. He died on the 25th of December 1977 in Vevey in Switzerland

and creating a different world of acting style, because some people might not be good at example in normal acting with different tunes of voice but they might be brilliant in facial expressions.
Lilia- I think that miming is a bit better than normal acting because the amount of clearness is more because sometimes in normal acting you might slip your tongue and something wrong can come out of your mouth. Secondly the clearness of the expressions in mime is better than that coming out of your mouth. Thirdly I think that in normal acting many people use rude words but in mime it is impossible to use rude words. Miming is also a great skill because for a person like me it is impossible to work or act without words. First of all, you need a costume for your mime. Mime costume includes white make up to show the artist’s emotions more clearly and a nice costume. You also should be passionate and should not be shy in front of the camera. Mime
