Oscar the boxer
Oscar's early life and career
Oscar was born in Montebello, Los Angeles, California on Februrary 4, 1973.He won a gold medal at the age of 19, and went on to win 10 world titles in six different weight classes.
The boxing Star!
De La Hoya turned his mother's dream into a strong focus for his training.After losing against Julio Gonzalez, Oscar defeated Marco Rudolpgh to win gol and become the only U.S boxer to take a metal from Barcelona.Oscar became professional after the 1992 olympics,
winning his first pro fight in a first round knockout.He complied an extremely successful record during his first year as a pro.He'd also
win his first professional title,the junior lightweight campionship.

Outside of the Ring
Oscar De La Hoya's contribution was successful out of the ring.outside of the ring, he became the best-known boxer in America, earning respect from many for his charity a nonprofit foundation and a youth boxing center in his old East Los Angeles neighborhood.In 2000, De La Hoya released his first album, in both english and spanish, on EMI/Latin label

Oscar is a Mexican American former professional boxer.He was nicknamed ''The Golden Boy''.Oscar won a golden medal in the 1992 olympics shortly after graduating from James.After years as a amateur in east Los Angeles, Oscar was the 1989 Gold Gloves national champion.He remains one of the most celebrated boxer of his era,and his other buisness interests have included a spanish-language boxing show on HBO,Boxeo de Oro, means a clothing line, and various merchandising deals.

His Grandfather boxed in the 1940's and his father boxed in the 1960's and that inspired him to box him-self.
