Hmm what to read? Are you bored
and not liking any of the books found
in you class library? Well listen up!
I have some great
suggestions for you. Gone by Michael Grant BAM! Every single adult, elder or person in charge has disappeared into who knows what. The only ones left are the kids, the teens, the toddlers; all alone. The internet, phones, tv, are gone too! (OMG that's crazy isn't it?!) It's impossible to get help, and danger is lurking just behind the corner. The teens are changing too! They are developing powers, powers of all sorts: dangerous or deadly. It's a new world where it's power against the powerless. Delirium by Lauren Oliver Book Suggestions Girls... I think this is a book
for you! Love has been classified
as a DISEASE. "Amor Deliria Nervosa" everyones afraid of getting this so called "disease", it is seen as very very dangerous. There is a certain procedure at age 18 to get rid of it. However the main character, Lena, does the most unthinkable- she falls in love before her procedure. "They say that the cure for Love will make me happy and safe forever. And I’ve always believed them. Until now. Now everything has changed. Now, I’d rather be infected with love for the tiniest sliver of a second than live a hundred years smothered by a lie." May 28. 2013 City of Bones by: Cassandra Clare City of Bones is the first book in the
Mortal Instruments series. There is a
world hidden within our own. Where demons, vampires (Not like Edward), werewolves (Definitely not like Jacob), warlocks and many more deadly creatures abide in. Shadowhunters work to protect the world from these creatures. Clarissa Fray is in New York, and has just found out she has been lied to her entire life. She is a shadowhunter, a shadowhunter like her mother. She has to fight back, fight what is endangering her world, her city, herself, and even her mother. Other Books in the Mortal Instruments Series: Other books in the trilogy: Other books in the series: ***WARNING: You will need to buy tissues and a new heart!*** ____________ This is the story of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters. They meet at a Cancer Kid Support Group. Hazel has had Thyroid Cancer, dealing with the lungs, since she was 13. Augustus had his leg removed because of his Osteosarcoma. These teens fall in love, but they also fall into pain. The world is not a wish-granting factory. You'll experience feelings you've never even knew you could feel, you'll laugh, you'll cry a river, you'll want to burn the book, but it'll leave a scar. “You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world...but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices.” By: Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl This is a town with no surprises. Until Lena Duchannes comes into the small southern town of Gatlin. She has a secret, she has a power, she is a caster. With a curse that has haunted her family for generations, a power she struggles to conceal, she meets Ethan Wate. He is drawn to her the second she steps foot in town and he is determined to find out what connects them. One secret can change everything. Other books in the Caster Chronicles: Imagine a world where everyone was "pretty". Where at a certain age,16, they would get an operation to make them super drop dead gorgeous. Big eyes, full lips, neither skinny or fat, perfect isn't it? Of course not! It changes you, not just your appearance but your personality. You're a whole different person. Tally Youngblood is one of few who decide to rebel against this society. She is considered an "Ugly" and she will not let this take her down. Uglies by Scott Westerfeld Other books in the Uglies Trilogy: Thomas is thrown into the glade, a large, open area surrounded by stone walls, knowing nothing, the center where monsters lurk. He has no memories, along with the rest of the boys, Gladers, at the Glade. All they know is that every 30 days a new boy is sent and the maze walls open each morning and close each night. He tries to unlock his memory, find anything useful to solve the maze and stop the deaths at the Glade. However, a day after his arrival, a girl is sent in. The first girl ever to be sent and surprises even more with the message she sends. Now, more than ever, Thomas has to try to unlock the memories his mind holds captive. Other books in the trilogy: The Maze Runner Prequel Legend by Marie Lu *P.S. What used to be the Western part of the U.S. is now the Republic. However, it is at war with other nations. Fifteen year old June, who was born in the wealthiest district, is a prodigy, one who has a great talent. She' was very successful in the military. Originally was going to be a T.V Show but Fox did not sign/agree to have it air. Day, on the other side of the ladder, was born in the slums and is the country's most wanted criminal at the age of 15. With no reason to ever collide, these two soon will be connected when June's brother, Metias, is murdered. And of course Day is the one to blame. While Day is on the run to protect his family, June is now on the run to find the one responsible for this. However what these two find will uncover the secrets behind their country. Other books in the Legend Trilogy: The prequel/background story to the world in Legend If I Stay by Gayle Forman 17 year old Mia has been in an accident. She has no memory whatsoever of anything. She can only watch as her body is being taken away from the accident. Mia struggles to connect the bits an pieces- what she has lost, what she has left, and most importantly, what choice to make. This book will make you cry (if you're a cryer), laugh, and feel with the main character as she tries to make the most important decision- should she stay? The sequel to If I Stay : Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater Of course wolves do exist. But these wolves in Mercy Falls are not ordinary wolves. For many years Grace watched these wolves in the woods behind her home. Specifically, she watches the one with one yellow-eyed wolf. Sam is opposite of ordinary. Living two lives, no he isn't Hannah Montanna, one in the winter in the woods with a pack, and the other in the summer as a normal human being. That is until the seasons change and he has to shift again. (No he isn't like Jacob who can change whenever he wants, in this case he can't control it.) When these two meet, him in human form, they instantly recognize each other, her by the eyes and him since he's seen her watching. However, when the seasons start changing, he's risking loosing her and himself again to the uncontrollable.
