About the Author
In this unit I will be using a series of children books by I will be reading some of my favorite books, including Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you Hear?, Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do you See?, and Kitty Cat Kitty Cat are you going to sleep; through these non-fiction animal characters I will introduce story dictation/sequencing, bedtime schedules, rhymes, letter recognition, colors, art, creative movement and dramatic play.
Bill Martin Jr is one of America's favorite children's author with over 60 years of experience; Bill Martin Jr is the author of the classic text Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do you See?, illustrated by Eric Carle, he has written over 300 children books.

This lesson plan prepares children to meet the curriculum goal of exploring with paint and using of senses, exploring with hand prints to create art.
Work cooperatively in a group.
