THE IDEA

The city is a giant forum, wherever is a an add agency, web service or design company, strange symbols begin to appear nearby. To to the un-initiated this symbols are nothing but graffiti, but to the members of the graphic design underground, this symbols tell you everything you need to know, what skill you need to know to work there, how much they pay or if there is an angry boss lurking.

Nobody really knows who makes this marks but rumor has it that is made by interns under the cover of darkness, by design schools and companies trying to lure in talent. If you want in log in the web or walk around your city with open eyes

You can try for yourself the prototype at https://www.fluidui.com/editor/live/preview/p_8zHyUTfwffeavx7Rls5CG9RMOaqXgk9u.1376778524200
What we Learn
The Idea

1. I like the fact that the idea is about people saying who they feel. Not about badmouthing someone

2. I think the app lacks instructions that explain how to use the hole thing. For example a lite doodle comes out at the beginning and it has various work options rated using the secret code

3. I think that the first tab should be the dictionary, because the first thing I need to know is the symbols meaning

4. I don’t get the code part, I suppose that you look for a company but is not very and then code what you want to say, but its not very clear to me
.

5. the icon in the map doesn’t have a lot lot to do with the code and the general simbology so it should be related

6. The symbols in the picture look kind of blurry

7. The Images could be better, the drawing could be more polished

8. Something that is coming now to me is how to maintain the symbols up to date, for how long are they valid since all companies can change focus get better or worsen.

What the user Said
Test Results
1. I like the fact that the idea is about people saying who they feel. Not about badmouthing someone

This particular opinion points to two Issues:

That there is something to the idea that could be of value and that it should be tested further.

The idea has the possibility of becoming a stage for bad quality or non constructive comments that could discourage students from taking an internship

Prototype the idea further and test with more people.

Have a Web manager to maintain comment quality and new symbol content.

I think the app lacks instructions that explain how to use the hole thing. For example a lite doodle comes out at the beginning and it has various work options rated using the secret code

The prototype needs to have clearer instructions, that explain what the app does. This feature most be also in the app.
I think that the first tab should be the dictionary, because the first thing I need to know is the symbols meaning

The symbol reading could be an issue as users don’t know the code from the beginning, something most be done to encourage users to learn it and to help them remember.
Maybe in the app the symbols most be explained the first time the app is installed beginning, and pop up tabs should appear regularly or the app should start with the dictionary..

I don’t really get the code tab , I suppose that you look for a company and then code what you want to say, but its not very clear to me.

There is room for improving the over all user experience, it has to be more user friendly. The tabs and screen should explain themselves
The prototype could use a more clear set of instructions, its okay that is a fast prototype but it should try to convey the overall process.

Add more screens to make the process clearer, add a tutorial. Have someone explain how the prototype works.

º
the icon in the map doesn’t have a lot lot to do with the code and the general simbology so it should be related
The app should have a constant graphic language that could help the symbol reading

The symbols in the picture look kind of blurry

The Images could be better, the drawing could be more polished
The symbols in the picture look kind of blurry

The Images could be better, the drawing could be more polished

The prototype must be fast and cheap but it has to be a more accurate representation of the project, Achiving this kind of balance takes practice.

In the next iteration experiment with more polished assets so the prototype doesn’t become an obstacle to get feed back.

Something that is coming now to me is how to maintain the symbols up to date, for how long are they valid since all companies can change focus get better or worsen.

Keeping the content up to date could be an issue.
The community could be looked to update the content
companies could be asked to rate themselves
the internship department could do survey and update the contents when they are getting out of date.
