Transcript of Enzymes
Per:3 Enzymes Emzymes Lipase Lipase is an enyzme that the body uses to break down fats in foods so they can be obsorbed in the inestines Lactase A group of enzymes found in the small intestine , liver , and kindney that catalyze the break down of lactose into simple sugars glucose. Example: It comes the word "pepsis" wich is digestion in Greek.
Thedor schwann in 1836.
Pepsin breaks down proteins in the stomach.
Breaks down protiens in foods. What is pepsin? PEPSIN Websites "Disclaimer." University of Maryland Medical Center. N.p., n.d. Trypsin Trypsin breaks down dietary protein.
It breaks it down to their components; peptides and amino acids.
For amino acids are Argine and Lysine.
Trypsin beggings its process in the small intestine .
Made in actice form by thye pancreas. ENZYMES Salivary Amylase Mouth
Breaks down starch into simple sugars
Salivary glands help digestion when carbohydrates are being broken down
breaks down foods that have carbohydrates
small amountsof food http://www.vitamins-supplements.org/digestive-enzymes/amylase.php http://www.vitamins-supplements.org/digestive-enzymes/ I'm Glynnis this is Natalie, Joshua
,Omar & Jennifer
Omar goes first talking about his enzyme with a video then goes Jennifer talking about the maltase & sucrase
Natalie talks about salivary amylase
Joshua does the game and talks about his enzyme
mini quiz, graphs, & our conclusion Amylase in the Pancreas PEPTIDE helps digest starches
makes its way to the small intestine
produce to maltose malstose turns to glucose and is used for energy Maltase maltase are digestive emzymes
maltase are proteins
they are in many things like humans, fungi, animals, bacteria and other things
the are found in a humans small intestine
they help us absorb nutrients from food.
maltase can became weak or die if you don't eat right or use drugs and other things . SUCRASE sucrase is a digestive enzyme
sucrase helps with digestion of food
sucrase are found in the microvilli . the microvilli is found in epithelial cell it is found in the small intestine
sucrase takes surose (table sugar found in sweets) and break it apart using a h2o molecule and makes glucose & fructose
this sugars can help the body supply energy. you can find peptide enzymes in milk that break it down. rybosomal peptide synthesized by translation of mRNA Graph: Unknown."Functions of Digestive Enzymes".Vitamin Supplements Guide,2006.Web.30 August 2012.
