Step 3: Refer To The Passage The "ABC" steps will aid you in now answering the questions These can be helpful when the passage does not give you any specific references as to what the answer might be Step 4: Answer The Question In Your Own Words In reading, make sure you answer the questions in your own words before you look at the answer choices Don't waste time thinking about the answer choices, it will waste too much time and will more than likely result in you getting many questions wrong Step 5: Match Your Answer With One Of The Choices After reading the passages, you should be focused on "matching" your answer choices to what you think it is If you can help it, you don't want to think very hard about the choices Don't worry about seeing if they look right The answer choices are intended to confuse you, so don't think about them more then you have to
