Transcript of Adobe Systems Inc.

Adobe Systems was founded by John Warnock and Charles Geschke in December 1982.
Created PostScript which was later licensed by Apple Computers in 1985.
Apple used PostScript for their LaserWriter printers. Fact: The company's name was inspired by Adobe Creek in Los Altos, California which ran behind the houses of the two co-founders. Adobe's next big creation was Adobe Illustrator, a vector based computer editing program that also helped make printing become more popular, thus postscript as well. After PostScript Adobe created digital fonts, one being named "Type 1".
In order to allow scalability of their fonts, Adobe created "Adobe Font Manager". This is what Adobe Illustrator looked like in 1987. In 1989 Adobe released a program called Photoshop to the public on the Apple computer; Macintosh. This is an "empty workspace" on Photoshop 1.0 Fact: Adobe's logo was created by a graphic designer named Marva Warnock. In 1993 Adobe introduced the PDF (portable document format) file along with two new programs; Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
With this, Adobe created a commonly used and known format for electronic documents all over the world. Adobe Acrobat XI Pro (current version) In 1999 Adobe's program InDesign 1.0 and it's first Creative Suite package were released to the public. Other programs that Adobe later released consist of the following; Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe After Effects, Adobe FrameMaker, and Adobe InCopy.

PhoneGap Build Complete List of Adobe programs (from Adobe.com) For my project I made an advertisement in Photoshop CS5 based off of a 1990's Guess ad. I chose the year 1990 because I feel as though that around the time that photoshop was being used, and it had been released the previous year.
