You may be wondering what our artifact is....
Our
Artifact
Is
Clocks
Who was the inventor of the clock?
The inventor of the clock was
Jost Burgi. He invented the clock in
1577. He lacked a formal education
and had an unpredicted ability to
design and construct mechanical
machines.

What are some
different types
of clocks.
Different Kinds of Clocks
Mechanical Clocks

Mechanical Clocks were created by
Christian Huygens. The concept of
this clock this a clock using ancient
technology. It has a generic face.
Water Clock
Water Clocks aren't very accurate
They were first made in 325 BC. Most
of these clocks were used to determine
the hours of the night, but could also be
used during the day.
Sun Dial
Sun Dials were first created 3500
B.C.. Also known as the shadow
clock this clock's shadow points to
a specific hour and as the sun moves
the shadow points to a different hour.
What is the Purpose of
Clocks.
Unless you've been living under a rock you should know.....
Clocks tell
time.
How was the clock used
when originally invented?
How is it used today???
Both when it was
invented and in present day, the clock has been
used to tell
time.

Both now and when it was invented the clock is used to tell time.
What are some of the
innovations that this product
has undergone since its original
invention
Some examples are Alarm clocks,
wrist watches, stop watch, and
standard electronic clocks.
Which technology
best classifies clocks?
Energy and Power
How have clocks impacted society in a positive way?
The clock has helped society keep a schedule, by being on time for jobs, school and other work related things Clocks are what made societies now and before have balance and know where to be when
How have clocks impacted
society in a negative way??
Clocks can be broken thus time can be altered and a clock
can stop and people can get the wrong time. Also when people
are in different time zones they have to calculate the time in
different places of the world.
What is the steam for clocks?

Discovering the way
the gears fit together
and the way the second/
minute hand work
together.
The way time is counted,
there is 24 hours in a day,
60 minutes in an hour, 60 secs.
in a min...etc.
Such as in the sundial,
scientists needed to
know where the sun
was going to be,
when.
Art
How the face of the clock
was designed, in different
clocks how the woodwork
was done.

about

Quiet minds cannot be perplexed or frightened but
go on in fortune or misfortune at their own private
