(External Conflict) Conflict is the struggle between opposing forces. Man vs. Himself
(Internal Conflict) The struggle between two or more characters in a story.

The character battles an element of government or culture. Conflict There are FOUR main types of conflict A struggle that takes place inside the character's mind.

For example: a character struggling to overcome fear, addiction, anger, emotional damage or other crippling personal issues. Example: The character battles against a natural force.
