-The product was invented in 1965 by Stephanie kwolek. When was the product invented? List any existing patents? -The first patent was in 1966. What materials were originally used to make the product? -Kevlar originally was made of organic fiber with sufficent tensile strength and modulus. How was the product originally made? It is the process of putting polymers into low tempature. Kevlar was the first spun polymer thought which made it much stronger. Who uses the Kevlar? Kevlar is used by multiple types of people. From the armed forces to car companys. Its used in bullet proof vest and in tires. What is the global impact on society of the invention and subsequent innovations? It has changed warfare and duribilty. Important Events of Kevlar -1965:The prototype of kevlar is invented. -1966:The first patent for Kevlar. -1970:DuPont announces Kevlar will be aviable for commercial sale. -1975:Kevlar armor is interduced. -2011:Moterole announces Kevlar will be placed in cellphones for protection agianst falling damage. -She worked for DuPont. -It was originally made to replace radial steel in tires.
