Government gives famers money for wheat seeds. Wheat is grown & sold at lower price, therefore benefiting the producer & consumer. Examples Continued:

Provides money for small businesses to keep them in business Student Loan Subsidies
Students are guarenteed a low intrest rate on loans In 1990's the government spent millions of dollars on Oil Subsidies Europe 2008:
Mass subsidies to large farms are destroying small farmers business. The lower cost of big farm products means a 'higher' price for the small farm products.
