Visual Style-World (Part 4)


This game is an exclusive to PlayStation 3 and is operated on Naughty Dog Engine 2.0 and Havok. The cost brand new is £17.99 with free UK delivery from the GAME, or you can buy the limited edition collectors box, for £19.99 with free UK delivery from the GAME as well.

The release date for Uncharted 2:Among Thieves was the 16th October 2009. The reviews are very good compared to the first Uncharted ,which are on the next slide



In Uncharted 2:Among Thieves you are forced to explore the journey with Nathan Drake (Explorer) therefore, there are many terrains, buildings and objects. Around the maps there will be moveable objects like a Propane Tank and more.

If you hold "L2" you are able to select a gun, which you have previously picked up.
If you are stuck at a location for a while, a Circle hint bar will appear, which will tell you want to do and where to go.

In Uncharted 2:Among Thieves, if Drake is been strangled, the interface will automatic flash the button you need to keep pressing. parts in Uncharted 2 ,they have quick time events

When you play as Nathan Drake, the camera view is at a third person view, you are also able to change the perspective by moving R3.

If Drake is injured the screen will go grey with blood marks, which tells the player to get to cover. if you don't get to cover you will die, and you will have to start again.

The story in Uncharted 2:Among thieves, is very important. The whole story revolves from this magic blue stones called Cintamani, which will change the meaning of human, as usual evil is trying to get them first and change the world. The story was revealed by Harry Flynn to Drake ,to break in a museum and find a oil lamp which contained small Cintamani stones. The Story was first known by the village of Tibetan.
The music that you are listening too right now , is from Uncharted 2 :Among Thieves, this music starts when you enter the village of Tibetan. This music makes you feel relaxed. This music relates to a old village, unlike a modern where you would have more beats and guitars in the background.

The game is a Third-person shooter, adventure game. The game is aimed at a male audience between the age of 15-45, because most of the game is mild violence with gun battles. Early teenagers, also understand the storyline better and like magical quest objects, like the one ring out of "Lord Of The Rings".

I found this game really immersive , because of the storyline and graphics, the storyline was very engaging because you can explore different places like Tibetan and Borneo, the graphics for its time , are very good, specially compared to recent games like GTA V.

All of these elements come together, to create a perfect game , which will immerse players, causing them to spend hours of fun ,on one particular game...............Uncharted 2:Among Thieves.


Terrain- There are many terrains in Uncharted 2 among thieves, like snow, forests, mud, cities and mountains.They do this because, they want the player to explore different places and cultures. unlike the first one, were you explore one island.

They try to make the game more realistic by adding detail to the sky and ground ,which is trying to immerse you into the game more.






Architecture-In Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, there are many buildings like a hotel that you explore just before your reunited with Elena Fisher. In Uncharted 2:Among Thieves there are many buildings and bridges.. this tries to immerse you by the realistic detail on them. In certain maps the player would feel different moods, in the ruined city , the player would feel scared,lonely and aware of an attack. just like "THE LAST OF US"


Objects- In Uncharted 2:Among Thieves there are loads of objects, when you kill enemies they drop certain weapons like AK-47s to Tanks of Petrol. Your also trying to complete a challenge by collecting treasures, you will also know that it is a treasure by it flashing silver. when you have collected them all, you will receive a trophy like this...during the story you find a golden dagger which is, like a key to many doors, which is called "Phurba" , this object helps Drake uncover different areas of the world.
The reason why I chose Uncharted 2:Among Thieves, is due to the genre,story and the graphics. Many people also know about the first Uncharted game, Drakes Fortune which was released on the 7th December 2007. which revolutionised the gaming industry, because of the graphics and the amazing story. It combines cinema and video games together, and has created something amazing for its time, which is reflected in the reviews and awards below.

on November 27, 2009 featured a new multiplayer map, "The Fort", from The Fortress chapter in Drake's Fortune for free.

Two Multiplayer skins were also released on Uncharted 2:Among Thieves on the 11th December 2009,and a day later a new DLC arrived where you could unlock "Golden Guns" which contained gold skins for the AK-47 and other weapons.


"Co-operative multiplayer throws up to three players together into a survival scenario, where you must complete tasks and go against hordes of enemies using teamwork to help increase your score and achieve the goals."

Drake is a treasure hunter and fortune seeker, as well as a deep-sea salvage expert, he looks after his friends and tries to defeat evil when ever he can.
When enemies are near to you the music changes to a action/inspirational atmosphere, where you focus on defeating the enemies and progressing throughout the game. which then immerses the player, to feel excited and thrilled.
The story is very mysterious ,with these blue stones which can change the meaning of human ,this immerses by defeating evil and trying to save world from terror.

The game immerses you by making a certain sound, when you pick up a treasure ,which then makes the player feel happy inside, just like Pokemon where you have to collect them all.
