Lindy Hop In the 1900s the waltz, and tango In the 1920s – 1930s Lindy Hop – which come from the pilot Charles Lind burgh’s first solo flight. Waltz Tango Dancing was very popular to children and adults and other people, would record to dance three weeks of dancing. In the 1920’s-1930’s –shimmy came out In the 1920’s-1930’s- Toddle toddle came from raising arms and legs in the air. In the 1923The Charleston- came from the Afro-American Broadway musical which is Runnin Wild but the dance is from South Carolina. In the west coast swing/ Balboa 1920- After WWII it was hard to find swing music. / Short swing swift movements. The Collegiate Shag- college students dancing in New Orleans The Jive or Jitterbug in 1920 The Baltimore –is called the Lowdown step it is from the show the Buzz
They would dance at clubs, television shows, and dance competitions.
A flapper had short sleek hair, it was shorter than average shapeless shift dress, Her chest was as flat as a board, she wore make up and in public, and smoked with a long cigarette holder, she used to dance all night away in the Jazz Age, from time period.
