Birth and Death
Robert Louis Stevenson was born on November 13,1850. His birth place was in Edinburgh,Scotland,The United Kingdom. His parents were Thomas and Margaret Stevenson.
Stevenson, I am sorry to say died young on December 3,1894. He was 44 when he passed. Robert died in Samoa.
Young Life
When Robert was 17 he went to Edinburgh University so he could study engineering to become like his father who had the family profession of lighthouse design. After this he decided to study law, he lost interest in engineering. Here in his life adventure started to call him. He emerged from law school in 1875 but by now he knew he wanted to be a writer. He liked to hang out in dangorous areas.
Childhood
When Robert was born he was perfectly healthy. Not to long after he had non stop breathing problems that became tuberculosis, a not always but sometimes fatal sickness that takes over the lungs and bones. This made him weak and thin a lot of his life.
Stevenson wrote poetry, novels, and he was a travel writer. He happened to be a leader representative of Neo-romanticism. ( Neo-romanticism is used to explain different movements in philosophy, literature, music, painting, and architecture. ) Some books he wrote are Treasure Island,Kidnapped,A Child's Garden of Verses,The Bottle Imp,Catriona, and Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. There are still more. As I counted he wrote 49 books.
He influenced other people like G.K.Chesterton and Joseph Conrad.I however will not be influenced by him because even though the old language
